Hawaii To BAN Cigarettes? – Why Prohibition NEVER Works!

Josh Sigurdson reports on the absurd potential future implementation of an essential ban on cigarettes in the state of Hawaii.
Lawmakers in Hawaii who have not been shy in the past when it came to proposing absolutely unorthodox, shockingly ridiculous, statist laws are now proposing a law that would effectively ban smoking… for anyone under 100 years old…
So not only is the 100 year age restriction snide but the very notion of banning cigarettes flies directly in the face of logic.
Cigarette smokers are the last people you want to restrict as far as mainstream addictions go. Fiending smokers will light torches if they cannot light their smokes.
The ban would not include e-cigarettes, cigars or chewing tobacco. Well wasn’t that kind of them?
This video essentially breaks down how every time prohibition is attempted, it fails absolutely miserably. This time will be no different and it needs to be called out. This is a blatant infringement of individual liberty and it appears that the state of Hawaii is doing whatever it can to incrementally frog boil the public until those who live in Hawaii don’t even realize they have no freedoms remaining.

Stay tuned as we continue to follow this crazy issue!

I think it would ROCK to see parents facing and overcoming their suicidal cigarette habits along with their addicted children. That, is a parents only commission. To value health over fancy, character over wealth, community over self.

Seems like the guy puting out that just don’t like sigerits. Bet he is smoking cigars though. That man is using his power and influence for potential personal gain. Wow what a selfless law maker πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ. If safe spaces where outlawed thay would b in a frenzy.

  • Jonathan Steel

It’s your duty to break unjust laws.Nobody has the right to tell you what you can and cannot do.The only law is common law,do not hurt anyone or their property, the rest is bullshit.

im prejudice against cancer stick smokers. i mean i fucking hate smokers. and i let em know it too. smokers are the most selfish disgusting people in society. they are less productive on the job too. always wanting to take another smoke break and then smelling like smoke for everyone else to have to gag on. they destroy the environment they live in by coating everything in brown from the tar and assault non smokers with their toxic foul smelling smoke. let’s not compare cigarettes to weed or other smoke. cigarettes do make people sick and do cause cancer from 2nd hand exposure. BAN CIGARETTES globally! BAN SMOKERS from all public places!

  • TheAldawg77

I don’t care if people smoke, just don’t throw your dirty ciggy butts all over the place, and don’t make me pick up the tab for your health care when your lifestyle choices catch up with you.

give a random kid $20, looks like he needs it to get food, blows it buying smokes. and that is why they are to be band, there are to many sick people in the country.

prohibition works fine, it creates thousands of immoral jobs for immoral people in the immoral government on the expense of everyone else … just as it is suppose to.

In New Zealand over the past decade there has been a process of increasing taxes on tobacco, currently 30 grams ( 1oz) @ $55.30 NZD (38 USD) and Government wants smoke free by 2025.

Of course they don’t think of taxing and blaming themselves for creating the problem, nor do they think of implementing things that might help people get passed the addiction. I quit cold turkey, took 3 tries, smoked for 10 years and have now not smoked in over 10 years. But I still feel those urges sometimes that I resist. Not everyone is able to go cold turkey. This spells disaster and it’s not going to help those who wish to quit.
